Howard, in just his 10th AFL game, broke the record for the most ‘one percenters’ recorded in an AFL game.
Howard had 22 one percenters, eclipsing Josh Gibson’s previous record of 21.
A one percenter include knock-ons, spoils, smothers and shepherds.
The 21 one percenters added to a superb game from Howard, which included 14 disposals and seven marks.
Aside from his great personal game, it proved a hard way for Howard’s season to end as they went down after the siren in extra time.
Howard, who played for the Murray Bushrangers, has re-signed at the Power until the end of 2019.
Meanwhile, the Bushrangers will meet early this week.
Despite losing to Sandringham in Sunday’s elimination final, officials will meet bottom and top-age players to discuss their plans for coming months.
