Woman ‘hit in the face by man’ after getting off Paddy's courtesy bus

POLICE are investigating an alleged assault that left a woman with damage to her teeth.

The victim reported being punched in the head by a man after getting off the Beer Deluxe courtesy bus at Thurgoona on Sunday morning.

The man was dragged off the victim. 

The incident occurred about 4.20am following a verbal altercation.

The bus had stopped and those involved got off at Honeyeater Circuit in Thurgoona, near Egret Way.

The woman reported the incident to police later that day. 

Detective Inspector Winston Woodward said police were requesting security footage from the venue to identify a person of interest.

The woman had to receive medical treatment. 

It followed an unrelated incident on Dean Street on Saturday morning where two men were punched and kicked in the head. 

Police are working to identify the two offenders.
