Running from Tuesday to Thursday, organisers said about 60,000 people would inspect sites across the 105 hectares.
HMFD chief executive officer Belinda Anderson said the event just kept getting bigger and bigger.
“The interest in the field days from exhibitors and visitors alike continues to grow year-on- year with the site being the biggest its ever been in terms of physical area,’’ Mrs Anderson said.
While older farmers get lost among the $120 million of machinery on show, the next generation of land-owners will be inspired by Australia’s most popular producer, George the Farmer.
The cartoon farmer was created in regional South Australia to educate children about farming practices through picture books, song, videos and performances.
The Australian Men’s Shed Association is the chosen charity for this year’s Henty Machinery Field Days.
