Supercars wunderkind and 2017 Championship leader Scott McLaughlin lavished praise on Albury rising star Jordan Boys’ performance at Sandown on the weekend.

“I think he did a sensational job,” McLaughlin said.
“Considering the car he had, and it’s his first time ever in the category – he’s done a really good job.
“He’s a good racer. I’ve known Jordan for a while and it’s good to see him moving up the ranks, he’s a big talent coming through.”
Boys landed a drive in the Castrol-backed Image Racing Commodore in the second-tier Dunlop Super 2 Supercar series for the event, and made the most of the opportunity by finishing eighth in Sunday’s race.
He went from strength to strength as the weekend wore on, qualifying 12th and finishing 13th in race one – the highest the car has been this season.
Boys backed it up on Sunday, qualifying 14th and then putting in a sensational drive to finish eighth, but admitted he was surprised how “rough” the racing was.
