Repair Cafe Albury-Wodonga will host a bra repairs feature workshop in Wodonga on October 7.
Volunteer repairers Shelley Robotham and Kaye Jones will offer to fix protruding and snapped underwires, broken hooks and torn lace on bras that are in otherwise good condition.
Ms Robotham started making her own bras in the early 1990s.
She has since made dozens of bras and repaired many others for friends.
“I’ve harvested underwires from stretched bras to recycle in new bras,” she said.
Ms Robotham said bras were expensive and it was worth fixing some problems.
“To prolong the life of bras we recommend washing them in laundry bags,” she said.
Repair Cafe Albury-Wodonga also repairs bikes, books, battery-operated appliances, furniture and scratched DVD-CDs and sharpens gardening tools at the Sustainable Activity Centre on the first Saturday of the month (excluding January) from 10am to 1pm.
Repair Cafe Albury-Wodonga is supported by Halve Waste.
