Lavington will enter the match as favourites after falling in a two-goal thriller.
“I think for three or four years we were playing the same style of netball, we’ve definitely stepped it up this year,” wing attack Ainslee O’Connell said.
“I think we just play a very fast, but controlled style of netball, a very defensive game.”
The Panthers are undefeated, with just the one draw against North Albury in round six.
But they’re taking on Yarrawonga, which continues to extend the league’s record with its 11th straight decider.
And the Pigeons’ coach Bridget Cassar delivered an insight into the fiercely competitive nature of the club.
“We had a knock-around during the week against our B grade … it was still pretty flat out, not fiery, but it was the step-up we needed going into this week,” she said.
