The 19-year-old finished with 14 goals, including two long-range efforts late in the game to hand the Pigeons the premiership in thrilling fashion with a 34-33 win against Lavington.
Jones combined brilliantly with coach Bridget Cassar (20 goals) in attack.
“I kept thinking in that last quarter with seven minutes to go that I had to keep running, I had to keep pushing, I’ve just got to get through this,” Jones said.
“It’s one of my biggest achievements because we played Lavington all year and they beat us every time, but this was where it counted.
“I had full faith in the girls that we could come out and beat Lavington, which is what we did.
“It feels good because we won a premiership as well, it’s amazing.
“Getting best on court made it an even greater feeling.”
Pigeons’ captain Annalise Grinter was blown away by with performance of Jones on the big stage.
“She’s 19 years old, she just played in her sixth grand final, her fourth premiership and she got a best on court,” Grinter said.
“She is just a pocket rocket, there’s no other words.
“What a superstar.”
