Julie and Gary Campbell, of “Birchwood” near Benalla, have raised more than $10,000 for charity from open gardens over three years.
They will host another open garden at their one-acre property on October 7 and 8 to raise money for Cancer Council Victoria and Wangaratta and Benalla hospitals.
Mrs Campbell said it was a cause close to their hearts
“We love our local hospitals and as family members and friends have had cancer, it is very important to us to support Cancer Council Victoria,” she said.
This year Birchwood will team with not-for-profit North East Artisans members including mosaic artist Deb Dodd, sculptor Garth Hughes, botanic artist Marg Zaal and sculptor and Nooramunga Naturals provider Cathy Pianta on the fundraiser.
Northern Rivers Academy of Music will perform on Saturday with Benalla College music students on Sunday.
”Birchwood” is located at 653 ODea Road, Molyullah.
The gardens open on October 7 and 8 from 10am until 5pm.
