The Albury export has been picked in the squad of 18 for the Oceania Cup at Sydney Olympic Park in October.

Bartram’s first international tournament came earlier this year when she played in goals for the Hockeyroos in the World League semi-finals in Brussels, Belgium.

Australia will take on New Zealand and Papua New Guinea at the event which is staged every two years.

The Hockeyroos have won six of the nine editions and will be looking to add another to the list in 2017.

Australian coach Paul Gaudoin is confident he’s picked a side that can win the event.

The Hockeyroos are currently fifth in the world rankings, but have had a fierce rivalry with New Zealand in recent years after falling to them at the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games.

New Zealand sits one spot behind Australia in the rankings, while Papua New Guinea is currently 50th.

The squad will fly to Sydney for the tournament on October 9 following the conclusion of the annual Australian Hockey League in Perth.
