The 18-year-old featured in the top 10 of two categories in the testing process.
Paton finished third in the standing vertical leap, recording a jump of 80 centimetres.
He backed it up with the sixth best time in the 20-metre sprint, completing it in 2.95 seconds.
Paton made the under 18s All Australian side this year.
