An excellent final rubber from Jan Dihood and Judy Musgrove saw Lee claim the points.

The other section three match was also close with Jones book-ending their morning well to defeat Huckstepp 4-2.

Janet Buckton was good all morning for the winners, with Brenda Huckstepp in good touch for her team.

Sally Bulle was on fire in her side’s comfortable defeat of Landy in section one.

Dee Gordon was a two-set winner for Spencer in their salute over Wurtz.

The third match saw Rouvray, led by Sarah Parker and Wendy Milliken, defeat Martin.

In Section two, an unbeaten Angela Quirk helped Jacob to a 4-2 victory over Clark.
