Albury’s hopes of breaking into finals have suffered a blow with Scottish siblings Chris and Tom Sole not returning.

Chris has national commitments until Christmas, while Tom is contracted to English county outfit, Northamptonshire.
Tom made his top team debut in May against South Africa, scoring a half-century against an attack including dangerous paceman Morne Morkel, while he also claimed the wicket of one of the world’s best batsmen in Hashim Amla.
It means there’s a number of positions available.
“There’s going to be a lot of young blokes who will get a lot of senior cricket and they’ll come a long way this year,” coach Alex Popko said.
Albury’s recent emphasis on building its junior stocks is tipped to produce potential senior players in Ethan Moore and Kyle Cooper, while Howlong teenager Dean Simmons has joined the club.

“He’s definitely a project, he’s in the junior rep programs and wants to play a higher standard,” Popko said.
Albury will start against New City and Wodonga Raiders.
