Kia Toumngeun was yellow and shaking when he was caught at the Trudewind Road house in Wodonga on May 10.
He appeared to be healthier, but still somewhat haggard, during an appearance in the Wodonga Magistrates Court on Thursday.
The Clandestine Laboratory Squad joined local detectives during the raid and seized firearms, swords and other items.
The court heard Toumngeun still had other matters awaiting sentence in the County Court at Mildura.
Magistrate Ian Watkins asked him how he wanted to plead to a charge of trafficking methamphetamine.
“Ah, guilty,” he replied via video link from a Melbourne remand centre.
A charge of ammunition possession will also be transferred to Mildura.
He will be sentenced during the County Court sittings starting in the rural city on November 27.
