Mason Collins is confident Walbundrie will be competitive.

WALBUNDRIE will look to mark its return to the Brocklesby and District association with a win over Rand at Rand on Saturday.

After being in recess for a decade, club president Mason Collins said the Tigers were excited to be back in business.

“We should do alright,” Collins said.

“I’d say we will be competitive.

“We have picked up a few players and will rely on our locals as well.”

Craig Mabon and Nick Molkentin have joined the club to support local players Damian Wardius, skipper Adam Maloney and Austin Trethowan.

Rand’s chances will rest with the Mark Kreutzberger, Mitch Thomas and Bryce Swift.

Walla take on Burrumbuttock at Walla.

While the Hoppers are a vastly-improved side on last season, they will face the biggest test in the competition against the I’Ansons.

Brocklesby has the bye.
