Melbourne financial planner David Saynor is one of only three winners since the Great Lake Moodemere Hole in One’s inception in 2007.
Mr Saynor, an RACV Golf Club member with a handicap of 20, said he was a summer golfer who performed best on a par three hole.
At around 90 metres, the floating green offered him the perfect chance for a win.
He used a pitching wedge to slam-dunk the ball into the hole with his third shot.
The prize of $1000 worth of wine was first won in October 2013 when furniture removalist Phil Dally hit his sixth shot into the hole.
Parkdale plumber Brett Aiken hit the second hole-in-one during this year’s Rutherglen Winery Walkabout.
He donated half his winnings to the Chloe Saxby Foundation.
Twenty per cent of the proceeds from the Great Lake Moodemere Hole in One are donated to Operation K9, which is a joint program provided by the Returned and Services League and Royal Society for the Blind.
Dogs are given to veterans of the Australian Defence Forces who have post traumatic stress disorder due to service.
