High Country Brewery Trail breweries crafted a new commemorative Belgian Ale at Mansfield this month.
Eight trail members, including newcomer King River Brewing, created the brew under the High Country Brewery Trail label, Rule #47, using locally grown hops from the Rostrevor Hop Garden in the Ovens Valley.
The latest addition expands the trail to eight members: Black Dog Brewery at Taminick, Blizzard Brewery at Dinner Plain, Bridge Road Brewers at Beechworth, Bright Brewery, Rutherglen Brewery, Social Bandit Brewing Company at Mansfield and Sweetwater Brewing Company at Mount Beauty.
Husband and wife Nathan and Brianna Munt opened microbrewery King River Brewing at the landmark restaurant and cellar door King Valley Cucina during February.
The new High Country collaborative Rule #47 brew will be released through all participating breweries from November 24.
