Seiter, who won Morris Medal and two best and fairests during his 92-match career with the Bulldogs, will be joined by Lavington ruckman Jeremy Luff and Beechworth’s Dayne Carey.
Nick Brockley, John-Roy Williams and Kylin Morey will return to the Saints from Wahgunyah, Lavington and Beechworth respectively.
“My wife, Emily, has been out at Brock-Burrum for four years and I’m not up to the commitment of playing in the Ovens and Murray any more,” Seiter, 30, said.
“Family and work have taken over.
“For a long time footy was No.1 and now it’s not.
“Emily’s loved it out there playing netball and I’m looking forward to it as well.”
Seiter’s arrival at Brock-Burrum has been one of country football’s worst kept secrets with the man-mountain knowing halfway through last season his time in the Ovens and Murray was up.
His departure is a blow for Wodonga who have lost star midfielder Jarrod Hodgkin to fierce rivals Wodonga Raiders and Ricky Whitehead to Chiltern.
Uncertainly hangs over a number of other senior players.
“I told ‘Hards’ (Wodonga coach Dean Harding) halfway through the year I was done,” he said.
“Physically I’ve been struggling.
“It’s a shame because I loved it at Wodonga, but the club has been planning for that.
“Wodonga will be fine.
“It’s a changing of the guard with the young blokes coming through and they were the ones who won us games this year.
“I went to school with Zac Fulford and he’s a more than capable coach.”
Seiter and Luff are expected to share the ruck duties for Brock-Burrum as the Saints attempt to bounce back from their surprise elimination final loss to Culcairn at Walbundrie this year.
Luff joined Lavington in 2016 after winning North Wagga’s best and fairest award.
He played six senior and eight reserve grade matches before suffering a knee injury during pre-season and missing 2017.
“I rucked against Jeremy and he was one of the players I struggled against because he had a good leap,” Seiter said.
“He’s going to be a really good addition.”
Carey played with Morey at Beechworth and will provide another option in attack after kicking 118 goals in his past six seasons with the Tallangatta and District league club.
Brock-Burrum has lost the retired Justin Koschitzke and Jarrod Hillary while Daniel Hitchens is likely to return to the Riverina league.
