Between December 15 to January 28, the event will present the 2017 finalists of the annual competition, now in its 96th year. MAMA will also host a Young Archie portrait competition for children while visitors can vote in the Albury People’s Choice Award.
A volunteer information session will be held at MAMA on November 2 at 5pm.
MAMA director Bree Pickering said 16,800 visitors came through the Archibald Prize at Albury Library Museum in 2014, before the new art museum had opened.
“We are thrilled to be hosting the exhibition during peak holiday season, it will be a great thing for the city,” Ms Pickering said.
