The author, comedian and now director will host a Q and A session about his new film Three Summers at Regent Cinemas on Friday.
The romantic comedy, set at a fictional West Australian folk music festival over, you guessed it, three summers, stars a veritable who’s who of Australian cinema.
“It’s been a dream come true for me as a writer who tells Australian stories, to have such a collection of much loved storytellers playing a role in it,” Mr Elton said.
“I want people to be able to sit back and enjoy the film, there’s a bunch of laughs, a few tears, and that’s what good entertainment should be about.”
The screening and Q and A will be from 6:30pm on Friday night.
