With brothers Koby and Tyson Cromie playing A1 pennant in the Ovens and Murray at 10 and 13 years of age respectively, club president Ron Makin said it was difficult not to be enthused.
“It’s a joy to have them at the club,” Makin said.
“All the old bowlers take them to heart.
“They are beautiful kids and terrific young bowlers.”
Koby and Tyson were always destined to play bowls with their father, Tim, the club coach and reigning champion.
The Ovens and Murray representative has also teamed with Koby to win Yarrawonga’s pairs title.
“The boys started when they were pretty young, about five or so,” Makin said.
“Koby played two games last year when we were a bit short and he’s up in A1 again.
“We encourage the young ones to play because you need them coming through.”
Koby, Tyson and Tim will line-up against Corowa Civic at Yarrawonga on Saturday.
