Burrumbuttock finished last season as minor premiers before being pipped by Rand in the decider, but have started the new campaign in impressive fashion.
The weekend’s clash has been dubbed “the battle of the footy club” by Burrumbuttock veteran Dave Williams.
“The league is even, anyone can beat anyone on their day,” Williams said.
“It’s made it a good rivalry this year and it will be pretty disappointing for the team that actually misses out.
“Brock are lacking the Koschitzke brothers (Josh and Mitch) this year, but apart from that they’ve got their full side.
He admits former Burrumbuttock product Adam I’Anson will be one to watch for Brocklesby if he’s available.
In the remaining game, Walla host Walbundrie, while Rand has the bye.
