Gordon Webb claimed a 3 and 2 win against Andrew Scott, Greg Kent had a 3 and 1 triumph over Phil Dunning, Geoff Moss accounted for Craig Scown 4 and 2, John Scott had 6 and 5 victory against Geoff Nicholls, while Stephen Kishere took care of Geoff Mackenzie 7 and 5.
Also in pool 1, Thurgoona 1 edged out Howlong with a 3-2 scoreline.
Thurgoona’s Cade Webb won 2 and 1 against Craig Copeland, Bryan Filliponi lost 3 and 2 against Matt Porter, Damien Link saluted 4 and 2 against Greg Gardiner, while the clash between Roger Russell and Paul Purtell, as well as Joel Anderson’s match with Damien Shanahan ended all square.
Pool 2 matches were played at Corryong with Holbrook (3.5) beating Thurgoona 2 (1.5), while Culcairn 1 and Albury finished on 2.5 points each.
