Castro, who governed the Republic of Cuba as prime minister from 1959 to 1976 and as president from 1976 to 2008, died in November.
Cuban photographer and documentary maker Roberto Chile created the works in his project Fidel y Fidel from 2005 to 2010.
Hosted by the Australia Cuba Friendship Society, the photos were part of exhibitions to celebrate Castro’s 90th birthday in August 2016.
The exhibition has been to Perth, Sydney, Adelaide, Canberra and now Creators Artspace in Wodonga.
Cuban Ambassador to Australia Hon Jose Manuel Galego Montano opened the exhibition at the weekend.
Australia Cuba Friendship Society Albury-Wodonga branch secretary Peter Hood said despite the US restoring diplomatic relations with Cuba, the 58-year US Blockade on Cuba still existed and the US still occupied Guantanamo.
“But Cuba has not faltered in his ideas and continues the legacy of Fidel and the Revolution,” he said.
The exhibition runs at Creators Artspace until October 31, 9am until 4pm daily.
