To make up for this, the Wirraminna Environmental Education Centre will be hosting talks for the first time.
Show organising committee member Marion Vile said ABC Radio’s Lou Bull and garden designer Chiara Cass would be speaking.
“Normally, we have about three open gardens, but we’ve been a bit light-on this year so we’re holding workshops from 11am about propagation and growing vegetation and flowers from seed,” she said.
Mrs Vile said Louise and Keiran Keenan’s garden at 566 Stony Park Road would be open for the first time from 9.30am.
“It’s a very interesting native garden with recycled metal pieces,” she said.
There will be craft, cooking and markets at the Burrumbuttock Hall from 9.30am, with flower exhibits beginning at 11am and floral design demonstrations at 1.30pm.
Tickets for the day are $15.
