Hosted by Jindera Rural CareLink, the free event is open to anyone who might want to talk about the issue but doesn’t know where to start.
The evening will include four guest speakers with a wealth of knowledge and on-the-ground experience about mental health challenges and dealing with drought.
Suicide prevention advocate Catherine McAlpine will talk about suicide myths and their impacts while Dr Natasha McLellan will address men’s health and depression from the perspective of a GP.
Local farmer and former rural financial counsellor Bruce Dwerryhouse will reflect on coping with drought and mental health nurse practitioner Russell Maher will be on hand as a rural and men’s health advocate.
