KEEP an open mind, but shop with a purpose – those are the words of advice from Vinnies stylist Tara Castellan as fashion season gets into full swing.

The Vinnies stylist was in Albury for a free styling session at the Union bank Lane shopfront, and said rural areas were well-know for having vintage gems hidden away.
“It’s twofold, you have to come into the store with an open mind, but also think about what you need, what you’re looking for,” she said.
“We’re donation based, we never know what we’re going to get.
“I’ve definitely found that there’s a lot of good vintage available in rural areas.
“If you’re looking for something different, you can look to vintage and see if you can make it your own.”
Tuesday’s styling session was the first one to held held outside of Sydney, with another two to follow this week in Wagga and Griffith.
“We do fashion shoots and sessions across Sydney, this is our first tome in regional areas and we’re hoping to create a bit of a community for Vinnies shoppers and show you can dress head to toe from our stores,” Mrs Castellan said.
