While the cost of the acquisition has not been divulged, it marks a significant expansion for the Border carrier.
Announcing the move, Border Express CEO Mostafa Kassaby said it would further develop the company’s vision.
“Through this acquisition, we have we have created a unique strategic opportunity by combining Rossfreight Express’ many years of experience and extensive regional network with Border Express’ expansive national footprint,” he said.
“Over the past several years we have aggressively positioned Border Express to become Australia’s leading road express freight provider and this certainly will not stop.
“Our future is one to be very excited about.”
The company said Rossfreight Express will continue to operate as a separate business in the short to medium term.
