Needing 22 runs off the final over to chase down 7-223, Kirkwood and David Rainbird plundered 20 to fall just short of a miraculous victory.
TRYC required six runs off the final ball to tie the match but ran four in a drama-charged finish.
“We didn’t quite get there,” skipper Todd Hannam said.
“Ryan hit the ball really cleanly towards the end and took it down to the wire.”
TRYC looked no chance at 5-91 but Kirkwood (72 not out) and Col Hagen (29) had other ideas as they led the revival.
Hannam made 52 opening the batting.
Henty stalwart Mark White was outstanding at the top of the order with 89 while youngster Nick Murray made 67.
Osborne defeated Holbrook by 105 runs with Nick and Ed Perryman starring.
