Trailing by two goals at three-quarter-time, Tigers stormed home with goalkeeper Alex Coughlan in outstanding form.
Roisin O'Brien played well with four goals while Lucy McInnes was another solid performer.
“Our defence got us over the line,” coach Maurice Eames said.
“The girls were really good in such a tight game.
“It’s been over a season since we have beaten Sharks so it was a good effort.
“We finished the game strongly after being a couple down which was pleasing.”
Sharks, who went into the clash without Elyse Boyer, Phebe McLeod, Alhana Hofer, Olivia Bahr and Alice Grellman, were best served by Leah Dodd while Sophie McLeod scored five goals.
Tabitha McDonald, Sarah O’Brien and Grace Unthank also made the most of their opportunities.
It was Sharks’ first loss of the season.
In A grade men, Albury Tigers defeated Sharks 9-5 with Jack Baker proving the major difference between the sides.
Matt O’Connell led Pirates to a 16-2 win over Northside.
