Miles was linked to several rival AFL clubs during the trade period after managing just five senior matches this year but has opted to remain at Punt Road for another season.
“Anthony is highly regarded by his teammates and the club as a whole,” Richmond’s general manager-football talent Dan Richardson said.
“His strong work ethic, contested ball-winning ability and commitment to the team are second to none.
“Despite limited opportunities in 2017, he is a proven AFL player, who will continue to make a significant contribution to the club.”
Miles won Richmond’s best and fairest in the VFL this year and was instrumental in the Tigers making the grand final.
He finished fourth (2015) and sixth (2016) in Jack Dyer Medals for the Tigers but struggled for opportunities with Dion Prestia and Josh Caddy arriving at the club.
