Nine members of the private syndicate, who wished to remain anonymous, won the TattsLotto division one prize of $369,059.13.
The syndicate leader said the group had been running for a couple of years, just for a bit of fun, and had not expected any big wins.
“We usually only win enough to put on another ticket, never anything like this,” he said.
“We’ll all have different plans and I think there will be a few of us going on holiday.
“It wouldn’t be something we could afford to do normally so it’s just fantastic.”
Some form of team celebration was also likely.
“We’re working on that, that’s the next thing for us to plan,” he said.
The syndicate bought the 36-game QuickPick entry at Benalla Rose City Lotto.
