A THIRTEEN-year-old boy has been charged after the stabbing of a 49-year-old in Albury on Saturday afternoon.

According to police, the 49-year-old was walking in Resolution Street about 4.30pm on Saturday when he became involved in a verbal argument with the teenager.
As a result, the older man was assaulted and stabbed in the stomach area, police said.
Detectives attended the scene and later arrested the teenager, charging him with reckless wounding, armed with intent to commit indictable offence, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, possess knife public place and breaching bail conditions.
He was refused bail.
