Organised by Albury-Wodonga Diabetes Support Group, the event at Commercial Club Albury from 8pm will see five health professionals discuss the latest developments in medication and treatments.
Support group president Jill Craig said last year’s forum proved popular.
“A long question time will be provided for anyone with a particular question,” she said.
Tuesday is World Diabetes Day, with the support group saying one new person is diagnosed in Australia with diabetes every five minutes, making a total of 1.7 million people across Australia.
“That means there are at least 6000 people in the Albury-Wodonga area who have the chronic disease,” the group said.
Wednesday’s forum is also aimed at carers, family members and health professionals. Entry is a gold coin donation.
