Albury will host the tennis version of State of Origin on Wednesday.

School Sport Australia Teams Challenge will feature Sydney and Brisbane outfits in the finals.

Sydney’s Meriden Blue will meet Brisbane’s Kelvin Grove in the girls, while Brisbane Boys College will face Sydneysiders The McDonald College Red in the boys.

“We had two countbacks for two positions so that means we had to go back to matches, then sets, then games,” tournament coordinator John Ferguson said.

“Overall the standard is a step-up.”

A combined Albury also contested both divisions.

“It’s been a terrific learning experience for them,” Ferguson said.

Finals start at 9am.
