The Wangaratta schoolgirl’s strongest opposition is expected to come from consistent performer Caitlyn Regan in the long-running race.
She represented Victoria in the School Sports Australia cross country championships in Hobart in August and has held her own at state level.
In the men, Callum Crowe, Digby Race and Nick Evans will be among the favourites.
Race was victorious last year and it would be a surprise if he didn’t feature prominently again.
Up to 50 runners are expected to take part with competitors needing to check in by 6.10pm for a 6.30pm start.
Entry is free for Wodonga members while the cost is $5 for non-members.
Runners must be 12 to compete.
The race will be held at Wodonga Athletics Track in Pearce Street.
The club will host several events in coming weeks.
