The Lakers posted 9-264 on the first day of round five.
“I remember we had a tie against Bruck five or so years ago, both sides scored around 266, or something like that,” Colts’ Kent Braden said.
“It’s probably the biggest we’ve chased for a while, I know last year I don’t think any side made over 170 against us.
“It will be tough, but we’re up for the challenge.”
Braden says while much will depend on Nick Norris and himself as the experienced players, Colts boast talented juniors.
“Hopefully kids like Ollie Willett, Will Creed and Fraser Ellis can put their stamp on the game,” Braden said.
Meanwhile, in another top four battle, Beechworth will resume on 6-66, chasing Rovers United Bruck’s 122.
