Jamie Anderson played with the Pies in 2014-15, while his younger brother Mark has spent most of his senior career with Essendon and District outfit, Doutta Stars.
“Mark is a smaller five-foot ten (inches), five-foot 11, midfielder, small back, but what he brings is exceptional pace,” coach Dean Stone said.
“He’s an Elliott Powell, Brad St John-style pace, which we really have lacked in the last couple of years.
“Jamie’s a six-foot three, he’s played on the likes of (Adam) Prior and (Brendan) Fevola, the key forwards in the past, and he’s held his own very well.
“The thought process behind it is it allows us to release (Matt) Grossman and (Ben) Douthie.”
Wangaratta snapped a nine-year premiership drought when it stunned Albury last September.
It was also the first time the Pies had beaten the Tigers in nine years.
