Saturday’s washout is the first time since round 13, on February 14, 2015, that rain has wiped out an entire day.
Around 25 millimetres had fallen in Albury-Wodonga over Thursday and Friday, so when it started raining at 10am on Saturday and continued until 11.45, just 15 minutes before the start of play, it was always going to be difficult for play to start.
Another rainband came though at 12.45 and lasted for another 1½ hours.
It ended any hopes of the eagerly awaited top of the table clash between Lavington and Wodonga.
The pair is scheduled to meet in the final one-dayer on January 6.
All teams receive four points for the draw.
Lavington has won its six games to sit on 36 points, with Wodonga two further back after a round three tie with Tallangatta.
That pair meets again on Saturday, while Lavington is home to fifth-placed St Patrick’s.
