Droop won through to the event at The Australian Golf Club in Sydney as Australia’s leading trainee professional.
He won the world’s richest trainee event, the $60,000 PGA National Futures Championship, in Ballarat last month.
Droop won the prestigious title by three shots, firing five-under par 283.
He collected $10,800 for the win.
It guaranteed him a start at next year’s Australian PGA Championship.
A first-year trainee, Droop qualified for the National Futures after winning the Rich River Trainee Classic in February.
That was his first national tournament as a trainee.
He also showed his composure by snaring birdies on the final two holes.
Droop also equalled the course record at the Northern Territory PGA Championship in September, firing eight-under 63.
