An ABC Film crew first visited Corryong during the Man From Snowy River Bush Festival and returned with presenter Heather Ewart to interview a host of local characters, emphasising the region’s rich history.
The program acknowledges Corryong is a stunning locale where the legend of Banjo Patterson’s poem lives on – but a bucket-load of beauty and a fascinating history haven’t been enough to cement the town’s success.
However, that might be changing with some of Corryong’s young people starting to move back.
Ms Ewart speaks to musician Fanny Lumsden, cattlewoman Joan Sinclair and true-blue characters Ross McKimmie and Doug Sheather.
The program identifies that Corryong has its share of struggles and full time jobs are scarce but also shows the town has hope for the future.
