In October, the Fair Work Commission approved an application for industrial action, with union representative Dario Mujkic saying the 400 workers in Barnawartha North were concerned about the centre’s future after the closure in Broadmeadows.
The new agreement has a 4 per cent annual wage increase, redundancy entitlements and jobs for Broadmeadow employees.
