Although the line-up has only one win after seven rounds, Brown is confident the wheel will turn in the second-half of the season.
Albury take on East Albury at Billson Park on Saturday in a vital match for both sides.
“Every game this year we have had our moments," Brown said.
“We had Wodonga 3-20, Tallangatta 3-10 and East Albury 8-80 before they hit 200.
“We are a lot closer than everyone gives us credit for.
“It’s going to click shortly, it’s just a matter of time.”
Albury were dealt a blow on the eve of the season when brothers Chris and Tom Sole didn’t return to Australia.
Instead of chasing an import, the club turned to youth with Ethan Moore and Cody Hickford being given chances.
“The kids have been at the club for a few years and they can handle it now,” he said.
“There is no better way for the young blokes to improve.”
