Haval and Hadil Kada sold large volumes of the drug on the Border in September and October 2015.
Hadil dealt 333.4 grams of the drug and Haval was involved in the sale of 277.7 grams, with the sales made to Matthew Bainbridge.
Bainbridge on-sold the drugs to an undercover police officer known as “Russell” and the trio were arrested on October 22, 2015.
Haval had 55.7 grams of ice on him when arrested and 34 grams of cocaine at his home, and Hadil had nearly $10,000 in cash.
Police made 12 arrests as part of a cross-border operation targeting drug dealing.
The pair – who fled Iraq with some of their family when they were young – recently appealed their sentences in the Supreme Court of Victoria after being sentenced in February.
Younger brother Hadil received a minimum jail term of 2 years and was ordered to pay $38,328.
He was described by Judge Geoffrey Chettle as the “prime mover” and “organiser” in the operation.
Haval played a lesser role, but received the same minimum prison term and a $19,578 fine.
He argued that because he had played a lesser role, he should have received a lesser sentence.
He was partially successful, with the appeal judges this week cutting Haval’s minimum jail term by three months.
Hadil’s sentence was not reduced.
Bainbridge had been jailed for a minimum two years.
