The welcome visitor dropped into the Wodonga Sports and Leisure Centre for this year’s Special Children’s Christmas Party.
An annual tradition for more than 20 years, the party included presents, jumping castles, face painting, cakes, sausages, drinks and snacks for guests and their families.
Wodonga Brass, dancers and Mrs Claus entertained the crowds before Santa arrived by fire truck.
Event co-ordinator Elle Bradley said organisers catered for 800 people, with extra water and ice brought in owing to Saturday’s heat.
“It’s a big build-up, it takes a whole year to plan and put together,” she said.
