Hayes has played senior football for the past four seasons in the Hume league with his leg speed to be a welcome addition to the Hoppers.
“He’s only young and has played 70-odd senior games of footy.” co-coach Clinton Gilson said.
“We were after a bit of pace and from all reports he’s got plenty of it.
“He’s another young player who should fit in well on a wing or across half-back.”
Hayes has thrived on the big Walbundrie ground during recent finals series for Jindera and follows Chris Schmidt (West Adelaide), Mitch Mahady (Sydney University) and youngster Joel Roberson (Thurgoona) to Bunton Park.
In further good news for the club, North Albury will host the 2019 Deaf Australia Football Shield.
It's the first time the event has ever been staged outside a capital city.
Despite being linked to Jindera, Lavington’s Kris Holman has committed to the Panthers for next season.
