​Albury Inland golf tournament postponed due to rain

THE Albury Inland tournament’s 27-hole championship will be played on December 10.

With persistent rain hitting the course on Friday and Saturday, officials opted to postpone the men’s event for a fortnight.

The open two-person ambrose will be played on December 9.

Rain created havoc with sport across the Border over the weekend with Cricket Albury-Wodonga, Wangaratta and District and Holbrook and District cricket competitions being washed out.

A call on the CAW competition was made early on Saturday morning.

It was the second time this month matches have been called off due to rain.

Albury Tennis Association pennant and Ovens and Murray Bowls Association pennant were abandoned.

The tennis association’s grasscourts were also ruled out for junior and veterans events on Sunday.

The Albury Harness Racing Club’s twilight meeting was also called off on Saturday.
