Albury Swimming Club has 14, Wodonga City Swimming Club five and Albury-North Lavington six competitors at the six-day event in Melbourne.
“I’m hoping that they all improve on their times, the vast majority to make finals and to hopefully podium,” Wodonga coach Brenton Falkner said.
Lucinda Macleod, the younger sibling of boom Border product Heath, and Sarah-Jane Male will contest eight events apiece, while Nick Evans, Aidan Thomson and Brooke Thwaites will all have at least two events.
Bailey Clemson and Brooke King are among the strong Albury contingent chasing State honours.
“All the athletes have worked extremely hard over the past four months to secure a state jacket from the Albury Swim Club,” coach Wayne Gould said.
Albury boasts five Olympians.
