With the club losing star goalkicker Trent Castles to Jindera and parting company with co-coaches Lee and Jay Dale, Lillis will turn his attention to players stepping up from the thirds.
“I’m excited and looking forward to leading this young group into 2018,” Lillis said.
“With the junior talent coming through we will be focusing strongly on their development over the summer in preparation for round one.”
Lillis ran the bench for Jay and Lee Dale this year.
He previously led the club in 2009 and 2010, taking the Roos into the grand final in his second season at the helm.
Yackandandah is the final club to announce a coach in the region, with all senior appointments filled in the Ovens and Murray, Hume and Tallangatta and District leagues.
