The Benambra MLA has collated his take on The Twelve Days of Christmas, replacing turtle doves and golden rings with rundown roads and Falls Creek police.
“We’ve tried to keep it as local as possible, they’re stories that have been in The Border Mail and in the electronic media,” Mr Tilley said.
“With Christmas cards, often people may not hang them or throw them in a pile.”
Mr Tilley said the 3½-minute video was a 50 per cent saving on cards, but he would not say how much it cost.
“I'm not going to have my political opponents pick apart my budget for communications,” he said.
The video has been illustrated by cartoonist Andrew Fyfe and follows similar satirical work he has done to promote the Wodonga Gold Cup with Dutch Media.
