The Indian import made 135 not out to help the Bushrangers post 9-284 which was never threatened by the young Albury line-up.
They could only manage 159 in reply.
“We lost a few early wickets and he put his head down for the first 10 or 15 overs and from then he just pretty much owned the game,” coach Matt Armstrong said.
“He batted pretty conservatively but once he got his 100 he went ballistic.
“He batted well.”
Nick Sheridan topscored for Albury with 30.
It was a vital win for Tallangatta who is languishing in seventh position on the ladder with five rounds remaining.
Wodonga’s Robbie Jackson steered the Bulldogs to an 83-run win over Belvoir.
Jackson made 65 in a score of 7-254 and Beau Kennedy and Byron Hales grabbed three wickets each to ensure the home team never got close in the chase.
East Albury’s Will McIntosh proved a surprise packet with the ball in the Crows’ 57-run win over Wodonga Raiders at Alexandra Park.
After setting the visitors 192 for victory, McIntosh grabbed 4-24 to take his season tally to 16.
Only Hales and North Albury’s Greg Daniel have taken more wickets this season.
